SASOL (Coal Fired boiler emissions from the steam station)
Aircure was commissioned to create a pre-filter/Grit collector (Cyclogrit), which is essentially an in-duct bank of cyclones. The design required a medium efficiency system so as to minimise the resistance to the back pressure. Taking the bulk dust out not only reduced wear on the down stream components, but also increased the overall efficiency of the Electrostatic Precipitator.
The existing ESP did require an upgrade and the combination of the upgrades together with the grit collector, met and exceeded the prescribed legal limit for particulate matter.
SAPPI (Emissions from Coal Fired Boilers for steam station)
Aircure installed a bank high efficiency cycloducts with a 20% assisted extraction to a baghouse. This design, using primarily cyclonic separation, saved on initial capital costs and will require minimal maintenance.
Result: Met and exceeded the prescribed legal limit for particulate matter emissions.
